AEDs Event
Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) are electronic devices used to restart a heart that has stopped beating. Former Minister of Health Rona Ambrose demonstrated that they are safe and easy to use at an announcement at Servus Credit Place in St. Albert, Alberta.
The government is providing $10 million over four years for AED placement in hockey arenas and community recreation centres across the country. More than 1,300 AEDs that have already been installed by this program to date, and almost 11,000 people have been trained on how to properly use them.
