“You’re Hired!” – Building Trades of Alberta funds new research “Apprentice”
On March 19th, 2015, Prostate Cancer Canada and the Building Trades of Alberta announced new funding that will support groundbreaking research into the prognosis and treatment of prostate cancer. The funding is described as an “apprenticeship” – a unique opportunity for talented researcher, Dr. Samar Hegazy, to work on leading-edge research with the best equipment and alongside the brightest minds.
This year in Canada alone, about 23,600 new cases of prostate cancer will be diagnosed and 4,000 men will die from the disease. This new apprenticeship will provide stable funding to respond to the urgent need to accelerate research. See more at www.ProstateCancer.ca and www.BTA.ca
